Poor mpg

Hi Folks,
I traded in my 2005 C200CDi manual for a 2004 C180K SE auto. Now, I knew I was going to loose some fuel efficiency (both petrol and auto) but not quite the amount that I have!

When I filled my C200 (~£80), it would show about 450 miles on the tank.
On Thursday, I put £40 into the C180 - it brought the tank to half full.
There today, there petrol light came on - after about 100 miles.

Presuming there are about another 30 miles left in the tank, that means that a full tank would be showing about 200-230 miles.
Is this usual?

I had a c180k avantgarde auto(2005) which averaged 32mpg over a tank with mixed(urban/dual carriageway)driving,keep an eye on the mpg on the next couple of tanks & if the mpg doesn't improve have it checked out by a good independant garage.

The only way you will get an accurate mpg figure is by filling the tank, driving a distance and filling it again.
