Poor old Brabus needs some love ...

Ouch, been neglected and 'got at' a bit by the looks of things.

That boot lid is cringe-makingly bad!

It's definitely been got at, even the steering wheel position has been modified...

It would be interesting to see whether that boot lid actually makes an aerodynamic difference.

Nice signage... :D

Reserve met and just over 1k in no time at all.

If that sells for sensible money it would make a great forum read on the turn around...

Anyone on here bidding?

How much work does it really need ?

New bootlid ( pennies ) , a whole respray ( not pennies ) , a wheel refurb ( couple of hundred ) and a good valet inside ( couple of hundred )

Could be turned around and still be worthwhile. All assuming the engine is good though .

Is that an 500E/E500 interior?

Should be fun especially with the manual transmision.... Wonder if its a dog leg??

Those engines are far from robust. A member on here, John has spent thousands trying to get his right. The cosmetics are not the issue, if the engine runs spot on its worth buying. Anything wrong with the lump and Id run a mile.

Old Skool Lorinser RS1 's aren't they ?

Do you mean mechanical problems with the engines or running problems.
As far as running goes, isn't it just a bored Mercedes 3 litre.

Surely it's worth the money for the engine (assuming it runs correctly, as Aka$h says).

If I was to restore that car, I would want to do it, then resell it to mainland Europe, it being LHD.

Alternatively, break it.
You have a Brabus engine, possibly Brabus brakes and suspension and gearbox, a Sportline interior, plus some Lorinser Alloys (assuming they're genuine).

A third option could be to use it as donor car.

But the main question in my mind - WHY oh WHY has the owner let the car get to that state, especially as he/she clearly knows it's a rare car!

For some reason the line "THIS CAR HAS GIVEN ME LOTS OF PLEASURE OVER THE YEARS AS IT IS A GREAT CAR TO DRIVE." gives me cause for concern - I'm thinking of an abused engine.

Such a shame!

W124 Brabus, that's gotta be rare! I bet it will sell for quite good money despite the condition...Around 3-4k, maybe even more?

One for you Dash ?

Thnx Howard, love a bit of that.Is well worth restoring, manual to
I doubt I`ll be able to outbid Talbir though ;) you know he loves his left handers

Go on Dash ... Talbir has plenty Brabus's and other nice cars already...
