Pop up adverts suddenly appearing

It’s a right pain on iPad using Safari. Not tried a different browser, but will give that a go…

They're so over-the-top intrusive in the Safari browser on an iPad or iPhone that it drove me to install Ghostery, which after just over a week I’d thoroughly recommend.

I've also been finding them too much, it was taking over the bottom of the screen. I understand the need for the site to carry adverts, but they were way too intrusive.

After installation I just hit the refresh button on my screen and they were gone.
If that doesn't work, try logging out and back in to the forum.

Maybe I’m lucky and the adverts appear differently for me - or I’m just more tolerant - but I get the adverts consistently in Safari on iOS for both iPhone and iPad, and whilst they’re there I really don't notice them at all now.

I installed it on my pc and immediately the pop ups stopped on pc and smartphone. Not sure why.

I think it is how mobile chrome doesn't handle extensions.
