So after nearly 4 years away from being an MB owner I am going to take a look at a 6 mth old E220 cdi avantgarde tomorrow!!! Having been a generally happy old style E240 owner 4 years ago but hugely disappointed with the service from MB dealers in general I changed to a 2006 Jag S type and won't bore you with the details but some 26+ visits to the dealers to sort out problems from a popped out roll bar within weeks of ownership to 2 brand new gearboxes I have had the last 12 mths fairly uineventful motoring but am wary of hanging on to the Jag beyond the warranty period of the end of 2009!!!!
So, I may be back frequenting this very forum should tomorrows visit to the stealers work out a positive one (so far experience has been good, actually gave me a p/ex calue over the phone as I rang 4 different dealers and said I would not even bother viewing without a base price to think on!) and all my questions were answered very knowledgably so will wait and see if this positive vibe continues!
Any comments on anything to look out for with the 2008 220cdi would be appreciated however most of the stuff/reviews on the web do seem pretty positive since the 2006 update?
