Power loss slk 55

Hi wondering if anybody can help me solve a power loss problem on our 2006 slk 55. The acelerator pedal stops responding when driving, usually while accelerating away at junction or similar. Weve swapped the MAF sensor, no new codes are regsitering now only "limit" appears on the dash briefly during the problem. Turning ignition off and on resets everything and cars fine again.
Damn annoying and unsafe at times. Could it be the throttle response sensor? Cant find any details elsewhere.

Can't help unfortunately but if it was me I would get it on Star. Unless that's what you have already put it on to see if anything shows up.

I know you've probably checked, but this sounds like the speed limiter is kicking in for some reason. Are you sure the column stalk has not been damaged or inadvertently pressed?
