Hi . Need some advice please on what Fuch's oil is the right grade etc to buy for my m/b c class S204 tdi est. 2008, any advice would be appreciated...

John why dont you just purchase the right oil for you merc .The dealers is as cheap as any of them. And you know it will be right oil in the end.
My project is 28 years old and, and will only use mb fluids .

^^^ Its not 345.0, thats for temperatures below -25 C.

Could well be 236.3, but note the required crosscheck to sheet 231.1 (page 3 for power steering oils).

NB 231.1 downloads as a pdf.

As optimusprime suggests, the MB dealer is the easiest source, they will check against VIN, and are often the same (ish) price as internet sources.

Second the dealer approach. Did some shopping around but dealer was just as cheap and you then know you are getting the right spec, just make sure you take your VIN.

Power steering fluid is just ATF. It is interesting that when servicing friends Chrysler 300 (with same gearbox) they specify different fluids XXX!!!???

Also my MB service history shows MB dealer did not use specified oil! I wonder why?
