Hi
I have bought a certificate of entitlement for a plate from the DVLA. I am a little confused on how to progress from here.
My local dealer will make up the plates if I show him the COE and photo ID. No problem.
Do I then drive to the DVLA office and give in my COE along with V5 and MOT to get a new tax disc etc. Then do I fix the new plates on at the DVLA office? Or can I go to the DVLA do the changes there and then drive home on the old plates so that I can get them put on at home? (Or at my dealers who will do this free)?
Am i committing an offense driving on the old plates?
Sorry if this is confusing - but I am confused ...
Thanks
