Pulley upgrade

Hi All,,

Ide like to add more boost to my C32 by replacing my existing pulley with a reputable aftermarket one.

Apart from kleemann/brabus/mkb are there any other reputable companies out there that some one has a good feedback from them ??

Renntech in the US are highly regarded on US forums. From what I've read they offer a similar kit to Kleemann but some say better engineered. Can't comment myself on quality. IIRC I think someone on here had a Renntech pulley on their 230 Kompressor??

I was only thinking last night that as far as I'm aware, there isn't an AMG/MB tuning specialist that I'm aware of that has rolling road, full suspension geometery kit, etc like there are for other marques. As far as I know the two remaining Brabus franchises and single Kleemann franchise don't have this type of facility. Can't find anyone else - was thinking of trying http://www.powerstation.org.uk/ even though they specialise in Evos and Subarus, as they have a good reputation.

I would quite like to get my geometery checked and have a rolling road session to make sure it's all tickety-boo, but would prefer to take it to someone who knows the cars. If anyone knows a suitable candidate (geography not really an issue) I'd be keen to hear more.

Ive heard a lot about renntech hence the reason why i shipped my suspesion kit from them in the states, only problem with there pulley kit is that it comes as a package... ecu flash+ pulley.

I dont want to send them the ecu and wait for the pulley to arive at a later date and get a cowboy to do the remaing job. I want a complete install from some decent tuner, and as you said there is a lack of these guys here in the uk that custom tune mb models.

Guess i'll have to think hard about what im going to do.

Birds aren't cheap though ...that said the 404hp conversion seems on par with Kleemann in terms of cost and power increase.

The 426hp versions ain't cheap though is it??!!

Wouldnt bother with the 426 upgrade as the price is ridiculous, but the 404 on the other hand looks tasty.

If im not mistaken Birds are an MKB agent so trustworthy they should be backed with customer support if need be.

A little mod to consider before the summer i hope.

I have their pulley on my SLK230 and am happy with it. Price too is way better than the rest.

Many chaps on here have them fitted on 230's. Not sure re the 32?
