Quick help on 190 Engine

Hi there,

Just got a quick call from dad, he's at home trying to fix a 190E for a friend.

It was kicking out black smoke and generally running to rich. Replaced some major part of the injection system (sorry cant be more sepecific, not there right now), Now the intial problems cured, but just wont tickover unless you hold the accelerator pedal.....

Any thoughts?? I told him to check all the vac lines and check for leaks..

idle control valve?

simple to dislodge the terminals - may well be woth looking at that
