tempted to put in a punt for this..... but i doubt my wife would be very pleased - get rid of one extra car we dont need and buy another

LINKY REMOVED AS I'M A SERIOUS BIDDER NOW :)

a bit rough looks ok with some TLC. It will be interesting what the reserve is...

Don't 107s have some serious rust issues?

if i get one i'm not looking for a mint one. just something for some cheap merc topless fun  old-school style!

2 things for starters.

It has the boot spoiler which was only fitted to the 500 and unless it has the uprated torsion bars the bootlid will be heavy and wont stay up on it's own.

Why has it got a locking petrol cap when the flap is connected to the vacuum locking. Is there a fault there? Could be a real bummer.

3. That red is a ****ty colour.

Plus point...Saab leather fits easily and would fix the torn seat........ha ha ha .

hehe - i'm watching and may be tempted to bid at the last min if its still cheap. Not sure of the reserve though but guess its around 2k if he has a 4k buy it now

i'm not too concerned with faults like that for the price, unless you think its high which i dont think it is for an SL. i will fiddle with it myself over time and fix things up, including seats ;) they may not be front a Saab though!

i take it the rear seats in these dont have any seat belts let alone lap belts?

28 year old money pit. Pay a lot more money for a sound one with detailed history of caring ownership or not at all would be my advice.

says it all really.

still think its a good car for a couple of grand. Maybe tempted to place a couple of low bids at the end on the off chance.

Looks like a whole bucket of ache. I'd run a mile.

The reg says it all. :bannana:

i quite liked the reg. i bet its worth a couple of hundred. Going to submit a low bid where it would be a bargain, but i very much doubt i'll win.... will bid and look more properly once i've sold my W124 saloon..... space on the driveway is tight as it is.

Although wife is happy for me to spend whatever i get on the 124 on something else, but i think i will put it towards something later on in the year

Hi

well it didnt reach the reserve of 3,100.... and i didnt place a bid. After looking at the price of 2nd hand interior parts (seats etc) that would need replacing it would end up costing around £1000 to just fix up the seats, let alone anything else.

the guy also states the roof is good with no tears but told me via email that he has never had the hardtop off so never seen the roof. also several other things are broken/faulty on it that arnt mentioned in the advert....
