R129 auto glass nightmare.

Every thing was finally perfect on car, after a month of tinkering, visits for parts to main dealers and support from forum. Real sense of achievement
Decided final thing to do, was get chips in windsceen repaired.
They decided chips to big, need new windscreen. Then the nightmare, looked OK to start with , then noticed
No vanity light, no map light , electric ariel stopped working , central locking stopped, interior boot open switch not working. It may seem I'm overreacting but I felt ill having done so much of the work my self. A technician came round and showed me wires simply hanging down inside the light dome. ! :-(
Apparently it needs a new harness,will let you know how I get on

That's bad news, I feel your pain!

Strange though, I had issues with my glass replacement last year but the fitter didn't need to remove the header rail trim so no electrical problems.

Lucky you. Also bent wiper and scratched bonnet and trim. All fixed by main dealer and charged to them. Threw in diagnostic for me
