Would a 93/94 SL320 have the wiring loom issue?

Do interiors come up for sale very often? The car I am having is black but with a grey interior. Would much prefer tan or black inside etc.

Many thanks.

I thought the loom issue was for slightly later cars (timed with the chrysler merger) but I'm not sure that R129's were plagued by this issue at all.

interior is not cheap to change and often involve carpets dashboard etc, unless u r lucky, a cheaper option (maybe not) is to dye existing one, or selling and buying the right combo, if u have not bought yet then cheaper to look for the right combo from the beginning and be very patient

Thanks folks.

Rest of the car is really nice so I'll probably have to put up with the grey!

I had to replace the loom on my 1993 r129,not a difficult job but very expensive!
later cars 95 i think onwards were not a problem.
S/H parts for these vehicles command very high prices, the thing i learnt is to pay extra for the car in the first place rather than buy a car needing work,as the rectification costs work out more than paying extra for a car with no issues in the first place
Take it from me i have worn the Tshirt!!!

Only issues are a sticky drivers window, button missing from centre console and a very small segment of stitching that has come away from the rear window. Will be going into Ian at W124 for a complete service asap.
