R129 wheels

I have a set of of 8 hole wheels I don't need.

The staggered Silver Arrow wheels (8.5 + 10J, et 25s) look stunning on the r129.

Ideal and rarer than the AMG wheels.

Pretty much concluded if I'm going to change it will be for a set of the 17" 3pc wheels for me, (perhaps with anthracite or colour coded centre)

Just got to find a decent set now, but want to see how the Evo wheels look after the car has been lowered slightly - it's sat about 1-1.5" too high at the moment IMO.

They do look smart. Watch out for cracks in the centre piece though (near the bolt holes).

Yup, that was I was thinking - I would imagine there are still some good sets out there? Don't really fancy shelling out £3k+ for a new set, that's probably 1/3rd the value of the car.

Update - managed to track down a set of OZ's for a good price. Outer rims could do with a refurb, centres are immaculate (which is ironic considering I'm thinking of colour-coding the centres, but good paint underneath means less work)

Currently considering whether to polish the outer dishes (very shiny, but high maintenance), or silver powdercoat instead; it'll be less dramatic but harder wearing, and should also still contrast ok against Azuritblau centres.
