The fuel flap does not lock with the central locking, I can hear it click, I can see it move, I can physically push that red bar in the back and the pin pops out, then it pops back in with the remote, but won't stick out, tried wd40, any advice appreciated.

Thanks

Jet

If its locked, it will unlock with the remote.
If its unlocked, it wont lock with the remote.

Is the above correct?

Spot on, all the bits appear to work, but only in one direction.

Thx

Have you been locking/unlocking with the fuel flap open?

If the fuel flap is open you may be better placed to see what the pin is doing without the possible marring of the pin on the flap door hole.

Yep, did that. Spray some WD40 in there, it pops in and out manually no problem, so not a sticky or bent issue I dont think.

Small development with this in that the flap locks if I press the remote 4 times, the pin moves a little bit at a time, but all the way when unlocking, what does that suggest, not enough pressure to "blow" so a vacuum issue?
Lastly, there is a fluid level indicator on the pump (inside boot, RHS), showing fluid is just bellow minimum, does that mean anything?

Thx

The flap sucks to lock and blows to unlock, so the sucking is bad, possible either a split, which is leaking air, in the flap actuator or some problem inside the pump.

If you identify which Yellow tube serves the flap then you can disconnect it from the vacuum pump, put the end of the tube in your mouth and blow real hard through the tube, this will push out the pin to lock the flap, sucking will do the opposite, or it should, if you can’t suck the flap pin closed then there is a leak in the flap actuator.

The fluid level indicator on the pump is for the hydraulics for the roof so nothing to do with locking

Cheers Dec

Will give that a go. Presumably the side cover is easy to remove, just pop those rivets and away we go.

Thx
