R230 led number plate bulbs

Can someone recommend some quality led bulbs for my 2003 Sl55 , seems like there's so many choice's don't want any error messages

I tried with various LEDs and eventually gave up.

They got too hot and would blow.

Shame, but I'm back to regular bulbs.

Exactly what Robert said above.

Tried quite a few - went back to filament ones.

Interestingly, same [type, make, etc] festoon LEDs worked happily as interior lights for 4 years ...

I have these led numberplate lamps, connects to standard 501 bulb connector, I didn't realise it had these till I tred to fit reverse camera and discovered I could not use a 501 bulb on camera and led on other lamp.

These are really bright with a good coverage of light
