Hi,

Had my CLK for over a year now and enjoyed every minute of it....but! yesterday as I was driving to work the head unit started to flash and then went off, the radio carried on working. When I got to work, turned ignition off and back on...the unit lit up as normal, worked fine on way home. This morning the unit went off again...radio works / CDC works just nothing lit up:dk:.....help!

Loose connection???

Any advice appreciated

Well there is obviously a fault either with the display or the video output part of the unit. You can try fitting a new screen yourself, they are for sale on ebay or send it to someone like Comand.co.uk or any other company that repairs them.

Think so, its the stnd unit like the one in picture attached

Yes that is audio 20. Might be cheaper just to replace it or take this opportunity to upgrade to Comand NTG2 if you want sat nav.

View attachment 37108Well its now worked all weekend without fault?......but having started to look at possible upgrade with Sat Nav I might just go for it. Trouble is there appears to be a whole host of options from genuine MB NTG2 units to OEM replacement units with prices from £400 - £1000 all of which say they can use the steering wheel controls etc... I know its really a a case of pay your money and make your choice, but thought I'd ask if there were any warnings out there about any particular makes or suppliers?
Have a local Auto Electrician I'll use for install, not something I would begin to attempt!

Any advice greatfully recieved :thumb:

The one attached looks like it might be a contender
