rare performance hatch (1 of only 2,200)

Don't knock it. I know what's going on and stand by that. It has to be a rare combination of cheaper and less common than a Nissan Sunny GTI-R, if not as capable in standard form.

Mazda reliability, 4x4, LSD and forced induction and enough zip to give modern day hot hatches a run for there money. 185BHP in a car that size with 4wd is not to be scoffed at if a fast hatch is your cup of tea.

Looks pretty crappy japanesey

Now, now Fuzzer. What did Hayley tell us all off about, don't be prejudiced.

I wondered who'd be first to post that 323 :)

As for the Lancia, it looks like the genuine article, and as it's ex-Patrick collection, it should sell well. Usually, 8.5 - 9k is top money for one of these, but the low mileage, and provenance could see this push £11k. I doubt that it'll do that on Ebay, though.

only group 13 insurance not bad for 185 bhp :)

£3.5k with a reserve  and no mention of mileage

also insurance grp 13 PLUS import status...KERCHINGGG!!!!

I DID always want one of those, but never got one.
Patrick :D

I've always wanted an Integrale EVO :)

The EVO Integrales are the muts nuts, nice in yellow with original 17" rims. Always had a soft spot for the original Audi quattro as well, esp the swb Sport jobby - still big bucks though I'm afraid.

I spent some time reading about the Lancias once, and apparently they are a pig to drive and change direction rather easily, at the wrong moment! The owner's clubs would have track days in order for you to specifically understand the way it would behave.

ooOOooo UR Quattro...........

Just been consulting the petrolhead's bible - CAR mag - Feb 1992:

Lancia HF Integrale: £21415; 137mph; 5.5 secs 0-60
For: Brawn & Brio. Against: You sit on the wrong side. Sum-up: Best 4x4xfar.

Mazda 323 1.8 GT: £13999; 120mph; 8.2 secs 0-60
For: Widens consumer choice. Against: Needlessly. Sum-up: Totally uninteresting.

As a measure of their impartiality ;) :

300CE-24: £39750; 146mph; 7.5 secs 0-60.
For: Smooth style. Against: Fantasy-land prices. Sum-up: Different to look at, not to drive.

I suspect the GT and GTR are different models. With 185BHP stock, I guess it got from 0-60 quicker than 8.2 secs unless that 4wd transmission is very inefficient.
