I have a 2005 E320 v6 sport and I'm considering getting it remapped has anyone had one of these done or similar that can recommend a re-map being worth while ? Ive been told they put stress on all sorts like clutch gearbox ect and with mine being auto i don't no if that would be better or worse for taking that extra stress ? Thanks

I had my previous V6 211 remapped by Celtic Tuning - went like the proverbial off the shovel. That being said, it was low mileage and I wouldn't contemplate a remap on anything with what I considered to be high mileage.

Petrol or Diesel?

Well mine has 90k so guess you would call that high ? But it does have full mercedes service history and 1 previous owner very well looked after and sorry forgot to mention (diesel) i spoke to a remap guy who said he could get 30% bhp which i thought was low as i used to own a mondeo st with that i was quoted 50% bhp gain and ino with diesels its more about torque not bhp but im just going off the figures if bhp is lower then torque must be lower to

As mentioned, Celtic tuning will up the bhp to around 300bhp and torque to around 450lb/ft

Mobile service so book it in and enjoy the fun......massive difference.

Oh, and have the dpf removed ;)

300bhp from 221bhp so 79bhp extra you cant get that much of a gain can you ? And if thats true and you can surly that will put strain on something and make it go bang ? It already pulls like a train well it feels like that to me going from a mondeo to this so not really after as much power as i can get more like a 50/50 power/fuel

I spoke to celtic tuning, they reckon my 204hp e320 cdi would go upto 265bhp 580nms. this is probably the route im going to go.

I would and have had the Gearbox fluid and filter changed, and generally gone over the car to make sure she's in good heath. Ive tuned a few cars over the past 5 years (older Volvo t5's) and generally find any up in power will highlight any weakness the car has shortly after. always good to do a stage zero tune 1st.
