Its an interesting term sprayers it glosses quite literally over the important bits underneath many many years ago hundreds of cars passed me by from paint shops and I have seen bad repairs showing through in days surface rust can sometimes be caught with blasting and will last if done properly at least some years, holes I have seen filled with all sorts of fillers including polyfilla ! temporary fix or bodge, brazed and leaded well lasts years, new panels correctly prepared and fitted is the only long lasting repair.
Look in body shop do they blast the rust ? then you have a chance, if they just run a grinder over it run !
