Hello
My car has been diagnosed with a steering rack leak. Basically on full lock the fluid pours out! I was told by the garage it was a seal inside that fails and can't be repaired. There is a rack on Ebay for £70 at the moment. I have also seen on here the Lucas product to fix leaks which I will try tomorrow. Does anyone have any experience of similar problems and could offer any advice. I was going to get rid of the car and look for another as the garage quoted around £500 for a new one including fitting.
I was also considering an W211 E320 Diesel. What are the main differences between this engine and my W210 E300? Are the economies similar or better on the 320?
Any help would be gratefully received.
