Rear end rattle.

My 202 250TD Estate @85K has developed a "Hard" rattle at the rear end.

This is particularly noticeable when lightly loaded on BorC roads.

I had it checked by a reputable dealer who checked/ tightened everything
but was unable to diagnose.

From past experience with older cars, it suggests upper damper bush wear.

Have any other 202 owners experienced this ?

Did they check the bushings on a plate which sits on the differential? Mine were loose and were making a quite violent knocking sound at one point. Mine is a 203 coupe though.

Thanks Zishan. On my model the rear subframe is attached to the diff: by
horizontal bolts & domed impact washers which are OK.

For benefit of others, it was lower damper bushes,plus ball joints had begun to wear at 87k.
