Rear mount bike rack for S212?

Ok, so I'm trying to reduce the flab, so I'm looking for a rear mounted bike rack for the car. I've had roof racks in the past, but they've always been a pain to lift the bike onto the roof and get it secure at the same time (not enough hands).

So, I'm trying to track down a rear mounted rack instead, bearing in mind I don't have a tow bar.

Any suggestions for something that'll hold one or two bikes?

The Saris Bones strap on racks are probably the best respected / most versatile. Not sure I'm stick them onto a S212 estate though since quite a lot of the rear door is plastic not metal. Can't you just take the wheels off and put it in the boot? (get a boot liner).

I have a witter removal towbar which cost about £600 fitted with all the correct MB electrics. We do lots of cycling as a family and a rear rack is the best way to go if you end up taking the bike out a lot.
