Since my 1997 E200 passed away, I have acquired a 1999 240 estate, One of the 2 levers on the rear seat that allows you to bring the rear seat forward is broken. Is changing it a big job and can anyone direct me to some photos and where I can get the lever from?

Thanks

Ah - have had a problem with that recently. I think Prestige Car Service may have solved the problem for me though, but I think mine was a failed mechanism [within the seat back] rather than broken handle... which side, 40 or 60 split?

Not the easiest of jobs I suspect but Olly might be an expert on this now....

Not sure if the 210 is the same as a 124 - but if it is then it should be simple to sort out. There is a locking latch on the side of the front of the wheel arch released by the knob inside the door shut - and then there is another spring loaded lever assembly that locks the back of the seat in place when the seat squab is put down into position. These lower ones can stick a little - just need to be freed off bit of WD40 sprayed on them and should be fine. Sorry if the 210 is completely different.

Sorry just re-red your post - I read it too quickly and thought the seat back was jammed - my apologies I will go to bed now.
