I met up with Phil from Rebellion today to test their new I-tuning plug and play box for the M157 bi turbo. I have been looking for a non evasive tuning solution for while now that would give me some extra power for the track without drilling or opening the ecu and what was on offer here seemed to fit the bill.

We met a Cobham services and after a bit of fiddling the new box was installed and we set off on the 30min drive down to Surrey rolling road. Phil indicated that the map could take a while to settle in but the car felt much more urgent from the get go but due to traffic I didn't really get a chance to stretch her legs.

We did three dyno runs, two with the box plugged in and one without as a benchmark and given my cars high starting Bhp we were both really happy with the results (see dyno below). On the 60 mile trip home I had more of an opportunity open her up and under full gas the acceleration was significantly improved and the pickup from 3k revs is comical and so much better then before and she wasn't a slouch in the 1st place.

Great product, great afternoon, great service and great result. Thanks for the invite Phil and I am sure these boxes will go down a storm.

Thanks for the great write up! They amazing results, I get surprised every time we dyno one lol

You can drive round in the knowledge that not much will keep up now :D !!

That engine is a monster in the making !

I think the new 4ltr coming soon will be good, but its hard to beat a big engined TT.

Tell us more about how it feels, that toque curve looks like it starts at tsunami level !

Had a little play tonight on some quite roads. The car has instant urge and feels a whole lot more brutal than it did before and I have to be more carful as I dial in the throttle coming out of a bend. The SL used to slightly pause before it launched itself down the road but this trait has now gone and more than a slight press of the throttle sends it towards the horizon at a rate of knots that just wasn't there before. The torque is immense at 860nm and it will be interesting to see how it performs in the wet! I will be taking it to Goodwood on Saturday so should get a better idea of what it can do off the public highways.

Great stuff and some good gains there too....I bet it puts a big smile on your face when you squeeze the throttle and it takes off.

Thanks Justin!

Great report...was a pleasure to meet you and play with SL!

Great results and the feel of the car was so different, we appreciate that this kit won't match peak figures of a remap, and to be honest that is not the market we are aiming for.

We are trying to provide an alternative to those who have been put off of remapping because of having to have ECUs opened or drilled..

Anyway hope you enjoy Goodwood! Just remember the extra oomph coming out of the corners.....lol

Nice! :)

If you can also program in the roof opening/closing with 3 pips of the key fob, then you'll sell all you can make, probably.

I've had my eye on this for a few weeks, sounds just the ticket....

Got my quaife going in soon, just in time for 630bhp :)

Well worth it makes a big difference. Is yours std or PPP?

Mines a 2014 E63 Estate.

I need at least 600bhp to take the family camping ;)

was that your SL with the dark-red interior at Goodwood today. Saw you in the queue to get back on the track in the afternoon.

Yes it was where you out on track? There were a number of us there yesterday (see the Goodwood thread)

The Kit is available now, for all variants of the M157 5.5 Bi-Turbo cars..

The price will be £1200 inc VAT

We are putting together marketing material etc as we speak..

I'd love to know a bit more about it, pics, tech details etc.

Very interested indeed...

How about a group buy / forum deal?
