I'm trying to find a spare parts supplier in the UK or EU that will ship to Australia... sort of like the UK/EU version of AutohausAZ (if one exists).
I have an ML270 (2002) and certain parts for my model are not available from the USA.
Parts sold in Australia by Mercedes dealerships are prohibitive in price... as I'm sure you're well aware...
So I was wondering who you all turn to when looking for replacement parts for your diesel engined mercs.
Looking forward to your recommendations (and warnings if any).

regards from downunder...

I am under the impression you can order any Mercedes part for any Mercedes car from any Mercedes dealer, anywhere in the whole world (as long as it is a part that is still listed as currently available at the factories of course).

So, I do not go along with your statement that certain parts are not available for your car via USA.

As I say, any dealer can order any Mercedes part (or AMG of course, or the remanufactured parts for cars such as the 1950's 300SL as well).

Maybe because the diesel engined ML 270 was not imported into the states?? I expect US dealers would simply refer anyone back to the dealer network in their own country. Their argument being why would they order parts for a foreign model in another country to re export again . Might well be different if the model was one they sold and kept spares for themselves??

That could be right.

For example, the MB100 was never officially imported to our shores so the parts are unavailable to order through MBUK. In this case owners are referred to the country of origin.
Having said that, that is a whole model series whereas the 270 is only an engine derivative, so not totally specific.

It depends if it's worth their while or not really, i guess probably not
