Remapped my C270 and now there is no smoke!!

Morning all, had my C270 mapped yesterday by Angel Tuning and very pleased, as mentioned in another thread yesterday. However the point of this thread is that my car previously didnt smoke too much unless i floored it and it would the usual diesel puff of smoke etc but now after the map i cant get any visible smoke at all out of it even last night with cars headlights right behind me no matter how much beans i gave it you could not see any smoke at all. I assume its because the engine is more efficient and thus there is no unburnt fuel anymore but does anyone know the reason for sure????

From my expert standpoint of uninformed ignorance, I would have almost betted that a remap would tend to smoke more, i.e. increased fuelling would have an effect somewhere along the line.

If you are getting improved performance and economy, plus no smoke, then I think that speaks a great deal on the quality of the job, i.e. excellent.

Yes i have been very impressed so far, its nice not get any smoke when you accelerate at night with cars behind The 'in gear' acceleration is fantastic now too

How much has the boost been increased by? That would clear up the smoke but you don't want too much...

I would wonder if you've cleaned it out by flooring it while "testing".

Mine is fine unless I drive a long way without giving it a bit of a blast, then it will smoke the first time I floor it, then will be OK again for a while.

Im not sure to be honest, although it has been increased judging by the performance......The new approx BHP is 218 and the torque 490 NM i think so these are probably inflated and they are most likely a little under these...

Cant be this, i drive it with foot right on the floor every day for 40 miles

Where do you do that? The car would be doing 140MPH.
