Remote locking not working at the drivers door

Does anyone know about the central locking thing in the doors as when I use the remote key fob near the driver’s door handle nothing works but when I do the same at the passenger side everything opens or closes, I think each door has a close range receiver or something like that in the handle so if faulty is it an easy fix
