Hi, I've just inherited a C180 Elegance (2002) in beautiful condition, inside and out. The only problems are the two long (medium depth) scratches in the lacqured wooden trim running down either side of the automatic gear stick.

Does anyone have any ideas how they can be removed or can recommended a franchise?

Many thanks

Tony

Xerapol is a good product for removing scratches from glass and plastics as long as the scratches are not too deep.

Some for sale here on ebay.

Hi, thanks for replying.

Is the trim in the Elegance real wood with a plastic covering or just wood effect?

Go to a good Paint factors, Auto that is and buy 2000 grit wet and dry.
just wet flat the scratches out in seconds and then polish with T-cut
or brasso etc

Can you feel the scatch with your nail?
If you can then you cant remove it with wet and dry, only diminish the effect it has.

I used to use Topps Scratch Remover furniture polish .

Gives the interior a nice smell too !
