Hi,
What sort of a job is removing the front wings on a w124?
Need to do some rust remedial work so doing the groundwork first.
Thanks for your time
Toby

They just bolt on.

Haven't done them myself before, but I understand it's not too difficult :)

I was considering replacing the front wings on my 300TE at some point, but I'm not sure it's worth it yet - I'll see how good she is!

you need to loosen the door check strap to be able to open the door more than usual to get your socket wrench in to take out the two bolts along the door shutline. then all bolts along the top of the wing accessed from inside the bonnet. you also need to remove all the trim from the wheel arch, and there is a bolt accessable when you remove the indicator. i did read somehwere that the bumper also has to come off aswell but unsure about that. If no one else can confirm i'll have a look tommorow at mine to see.... i have a wing that is off the car so can see where all the bolt holes are.

bumper can stay where it is

thanks for confirming that; good to know. i too have some minor rust bubbles that have popped up during winter and want to nip them in the bud soon before they get worse.
