Replace engine fan for electric on CLK 230

Hi, has anyone removed the engine fan and fitted an Mercedes electric fan? the electric power cables look heavy duty, the temp sensor were would this be to trigger the relay when required or is it in the ecu? the slk we have sometimes the electric fan runs flat out and the car runs rough, the dreaded K40 module! then runs fine. Just would like the fan to be electric and as standard.

Not sure what you mean. Do you have a mechanical fan? Are you trying to replace the oe fan with a new version or go with a different fan?

Hi, I want to fit the electric fan from a Mercedes, as mine is the viscous type needs replacing.
