I expect I know the answer to this

Is it possible to retro fit keyless go to a car that doesn't have it? If so, would it be prohibitively expensive?

*crouch back down behind sofa*

Anything possible if your pockets are deep enough!!

What car are we talking about?

A well know and very experienced Merc modder did this to his C class and vowed never to do it again. Just about every single trim panel had to be removed etc, etc..

Thats what I thought.

It would be on an E55k 2003.

Certainly possible. But as Whitenemesis says costly...........

You can come out from behind the sofa now. I have considered it. I miss it on the SL as I had it on my CLK. I'm getting used to not having it now as using the key transmitter to start the engine doesn't hurt really. Its just a pain being unable to let the windows down from the key. Easy enough rolling them up when locking the car.

The cost is frightening. I am however learning though that most mods are do-able with careful planning (and saving too hehe) if you really do want it.

The hassle free way of course is to sell your car and buy on with the extras you really can't do without.

vibesg - If you can roll up the windows you should be able to roll them down? This is the "summer opening" function. I can do this by pointing the key at the drivers door handle
