RETROFITTED 1992 190 D with BlueEfficiency!

I've never ever seen someone manhandling an engine into an engine bay wearing his best suit before.

Very nice car though and think of all the little baby carbons that were saved by recycling the old 190 :thumb:

it will probably rust less than its modern counterpart:)

nice convo tho, and it is one mint 190, no point doing it on a tatty one i guess!

What a fantastic conversion! I bet that car would give some old Merc V8s a run for their money!

It's been mentioned the upgraded modern extras, as well as period extras added, however they didn't give it air con or electric rear windows!

Also note how the Zebrano wood gearshift surround is sitting a little higher than usual - I wonder why they couldn't make it quite fit, when they've obviously come so close!

That almost looks factory, excellent.

I quite like the higher gear surround. Cleaner looking than the recessed original. Probably the 6speed turret is deeper than the original and combined with the size of that 'box it simply wouldn't go in.

Impressive , but it looks like the workshop should be called ' The Munsters Conversions '

A bunch of very strange looking , but obviously very talented people.

Note the normal looking techs putting the exhaust on (with eye protectors!), they might be the ones who actually did the spannering?

thats brilliant! i'd love to stick a modern day diesel engine in the fiesta.. something different to the zetecs and turbos.

What you mean is that they are German.

Next conversion? A 350CDi into a R129. How come we don't have a diesel roadster? Audi manage to win the Le Mans with a diesel.

Very cool.
