hi,

is the reversing camera option a box worth ticking.....car will come with parktronic as standard, just wondering if its overkill or something worth having

cheers

What car? If it's not an ML, GL or some type of van it's almost certainly overkill.

I've ordered it on my facelift E220. I tow a lot so hoping it will be advantageous when hitching up.

Coupe will have slightly restricted rear vision. IMHO it's an option worth having anyway, but you have to be careful not to become too dependent on it. I've got it on the current BMW, and Mrs PXW has it on her Lexus.

Its one of those things you think "do I really need this?" Then once you've had one its one of the first options you select. I find it invaluable in the Volvo.

Totally agree :thumb:

It can only help. I've found it useful on cars I've used that are so equipped.

On the GLs it was pretty much essential.

The cost isn't huge, so why not?

Thought it was a complete waste on mine, wouldn't bother to have it again unless it was on something really huge...

As Steve, the OP, "ticked the box" in post #7, I'm not really hijacking his thread, I hope!

But is it possible to make a wireless reversing camera work on the standard screen set-up ( I have map pilot) on a current model C220? I'm thinking via the USB or iPod socket? Or is the thought doomed to:fail

Thanks

Just about to order a C63 coupe, and might go for it as I'll have tints. Currently got the C63 saloon and don't miss it, parktonics pretty good but might benefit on the coupe? Hmmmm
