im lookng to hardwire my road angel ito my e class 320, does anyone have any ideas how to connect the 12 volt supply?

The way I did it was to take a feed from the courtesy light in the glove box and feed it up by the centre air vent by the windscreen. Always assuming that you have a glove box with a courtesy light. Will's post above is another, possibly better, way of doing it.

Don't hard wire your raod angel to a 12V supply. they run off 5volts. the plug that you put into the 12V socket is a converter, DON'T cut it off!!

No plug on mine. The item was delivered with 2 cables, one with a plug and another without. Been running from the 12v supply for 3 years so far and no problems. Am I lucky?

thanks guys, road angels web sites state that it can be hard wired but must have a 3 amp fuse in line.

There was a member here who wired one of these up to a Mercedes parktronic front dash board display. He didnt have parktronic but bought the display and isntalled it in the front on the speaker grille. To the outside you wouldnt know it was there. I'll try and find his name.........

So what information was then displayed? Sounds a nice discrete mod.

Not Road Angel but a Snooper. An excellent mod, the thread is here :)

I've got a used Snooper s4, and un-used Snooper S3 for sale if anyone wants to do the mod as above..
