Hi all getting closer hopefully to my new Vito Dualiner 120 - dont laugh until you check out the spec!! One thing I could have specified, but didn't was roof rails - front to back jobby's not ladder racks. Anyone bought or sourced decent aftermarket items or is there no alternative to an oe. option? Is an oe. option even possible after the order has been placed ? I suppose I should ask my dealer but I dont want to be a pest dripping on about about every minor detail to what is essentially a commercial vehcle only franchise. Plus this is the 'stuff' of forums. Bill??

Try ebay? Have seen a few commercial resellers from germany.

Oh, and get Viano roof rails, I doubt Vaneo rails will fit.

Sorry - Vaneo is the posh Berlingo - I new that just typed it wrong - I had a look at ebay but only found ladder racks.

My Viano has roof rails as standard but I haven't a clue what they are for.
I did see a pair of stainless steel ones on Ebay about a month ago, I'll try find the seller for you.
If you want to order an OEM pair I'll PM my chassis number

If the rails are in place I can fit some cross bars for surfboards - ladder racks will do it but they look a bit industrial. The ebay contact might be useful - I will do another search - many thanks

Hi - there are OEM retrofit roof rails, M-B part nos. as follows:

B6 656 0636 (compact)
B6 656 0637 (long)
B6 656 0737 (extra long)

I didn't want roof rails personally, as they reduce the number of garages and car parks you can get the vehicle into even further!

I will be getting a pair of OEM carriers (cross-bars) for the odd occasion when I need to carry something bulky on the roof.

Thanks Bill - you are probably right in the height restriction thing - let me know how you get on with your cross rails - they might be the better option.
