No i accidentally put unrefined/unfiltered wvo into it 20 litres to be precise. It already had another 25 liters filtered good wvo.

Car died and wouldnt start. Have changed pre filter and main fuel filter so far. Just waiting for new battery since ran currentl one flat trying to start it before changing the filter

What else do you suggest i do when battery comes

Car is a W202 C250 turbodiesel

well, its pretty damn tough - I managed like an idiot to swap fuel and water lines round, and tried to run the thing off water (no - it doesnt work - nor does HHO... LOL) - after clearing it, it ran fine.

so, you probably havent damaged anything, clean out the lines, dump the tank and filter it, install a manual prime pump (yacht chandlers if you have one nearby? or fleabay)

nigel - wvo - waste veg oil - or chip fat to some people. svo - straight veg oil (new oil)

older pre-cdi engines run off it fine (10% loss of power, pig to start in the cold unless you add 10% petrol) - I get it free / 10p a litre

Hi Guy
Thanks for that stuff  Still cant figure out best way to stick them on securely. tried super glue didnt work very well

So how do i drain the tank on the Merc some people were talking about how complex it is on them and not straight forward

That 10% loss of power is annoying on wvo, especially when going up a steep hill/incline  But cant complain as get good cost/benefit ratio out of wvo

advance the timing if you are bothered - 5 degrees is suggested on vegetableoildiesel forum.

stick what on securely?

What is the most affordabe wvo processing set up? Want to have my own personal operation

hi. you are best asking over on the vegetable oil diesel - home forums.

however, take off the pipes to the tank and run direct from a bottle of veg or diesel as a test.

if the car runs like that then you know its a tank or line issue.

possibly clogging in the metal pipes. I had this. Connect a airline to one end and blow back through should dislodge it.

whatever you need to drain the tank anyway.

EDIT: just noticed this is an old thread ressurection :( better to start a new thread. However you are best just building your own out of a couple of oil tanks. lots on the veg forums
