Which are best springs to drop an s124?
H&R? Euro performance seem to list a few different ones, don't want a massive drop and would like to keep the ride reasonably smooth.

To my mind, MB Sportline is preferred, followed by H&R or Eibach. There are 2 things to bear in mind to do the job properly:

  1. Spring rates are calculated on a 'points' system that counts the specification (and thus weight) of your car to arrive at the correct spring rates. Only the decent suppliers seem to work to this.
  2. If you lower much, you should get shorter dampers like the Sachs ones that match the Sportline spec or Bilstein B8s that used to come with the Bilstein B12 lowering kit for 124s.
That's my assessment of what's best to do.
