Can anyone advise if 7J x 16" were a factory option for a 1997 c class?

I have bought some 16" wheels that I wanted to fit to replace the tatty steel rims. They are genuine mercedes alloys, judging from the part no from a CLK. My insurance company have put a spanner in the works because they will only allow them if they were:

less than 10% of value of car, same width as standard, have locking nuts and were an original option. They're not listed in the handbook and I'm guessing the answer to the last bit is 'no'.

Thanks

16"s 7J were a possible factory option unless the car was a top of the range W202...

Thanks for this. Mine is a 230 elegance pre facelift, don't know if that makes a difference. Any idea where I could get confirmation of this from Mercedes? It would be good to give this to my insurance broker. My local dealership were less than helpful. Thanks
