My s203 has the 12v power socket in the boot that led me to wonder, does MB do an official coolbox for the s203?

Thanks.

£150.... that is hilarious, especially when you can get one from halfords for £35... Twice the price, yes. But over four times the price?

...it's not just a coolbox though...it's a ....

OK, actually it is. :)

It warms also, bargain!!

Ok so heres a question, if I get one from halfrauds, and plug it in... Will it charge constantly, including when the car is not running... I fancy having one in the car, but don't fancy having it run down my battery.

The outlet is not powered if the ign isn't on

This is the one I use - I put it behind the passenger seat. I've never used it for heating, although it has the function, but it is absolutely first class for cooling. Bit more of a reasonable price than the Merc one as well eh?

The drill with these things is to get them stone cold using a mains charger (which they often come with) overnight before you put them in the car. Then it will stay cold.

They're pretty useless at cooling things that are already at ambient temp.

Aldi are doing one this week for around £40

The Aldi one operates from the mains as well as 12V , so you can get it cool by plugging it in overnight before going on your picnic or whatever .

If you just plug them in to the car , they take all day to get cold-ish .
