My rear wiper (W210 estate) packed up and on investigation found the main arm to the wiper completely seized. However I did notice that power was still going to the wiper as I could hear the relay clicking. Anyway, as a test I dismantled the wiper asembly to see of the motor itself was still ok, so plugged it in and the motor spun for a second and then stopped. I then noticed that the relay wasn't clicking any more

Ive checked all the fuses and they are fine. I put my multimeter on the supply to find I am getting 0.07 volts every 5 seconds so Im guessing there's another relay or something which provides the intermittent wipe.

The switch on the dashboard still illuminates and the washer is still functioning, but no supply to the wiper.

Any help would be appreciated as my new wiper has arrived and wants to be fitted.

Thanks in advance.
