Hi all,

After a stretch of driving on an A road over the weekend, the parking sensors on my 2009 S211 have seemed to have given up the ghost.

I've replaced a rear one before (the internal light display went red - front ones still worked though) with a £13 part off ebay - just clipped it on.

I'm now getting red lights on the front & rear displays, which leads me to believe it may be a front sensor now knackered. Inspection reveals it seems one of them looks like a stone or something has bashed it, leaving a bit of a dent right in the centre of the sensor.

I've just ordered a front one off ebay.

Anyone have any idea how easy it is to replace these? I saw on an older post someone mentioned the trim around the headlights can be removed with a spatula, but this is the facelift model - will I have to remove the bumper?

Thanks

Hi,

Yes it's bumper off I'm afraid to get to these little perishers on the face lift version. On the plus side I think the risk of doing some serious cosmetic damage is much reduced. Take a look on You Tube as there is quite a good video on doing this.

Good luck!
