S211 front anti roll bar bushes.

Parts have arrived from Autodoc. I'm going ahead tomorrow morning and will attempt to change the front lower rear control arms and anti roll bar drop links.

Any tips on how to finally torque up the bolts and method of raising the car?

Loosen wheel nuts, drive up on Ramps. Homemade, made years ago. Then jack up the car, remove both front wheels, place axel stands on the jack points to the side of the car. Place the wheels also along the side, incase the stands did fail. Choke the rear wheels at the front and back. Change arms and links. Raise car so I can place the wheels back on. Lower the car to the ground tighten up wheel nuts. Drive the car forward and back a few times. Drive the car back up on Ramps. Torque the bolts. Job done? 🤔

Any tips greatly appreciated 👍

Front lower rear control arms and anti roll bar drop links replaced on both sides. Torqued up, road tested. Really pleased to confirm the old beast is riding marvelous once again😁.

If a man only had a lift, it would be so much easier, anyways, I'm rather happy with the job I did. No more loose crunchy suspension noise going over the smallest of road imperfections. Reality driving and riding well for a 18 year old + car with near on 230k on the clock.

I took some photos of the old arms and the new arms installed on the car.

Happy outcome, thank you to those that have given me the advice on completing this task.

How are replacing brakes compared in difficulty to the suspension arms I have just replaced?

👍😁

As promised few photos of today's suspension repairs. 👍

Excellent work buddy !
What is your plan with the brakes ? I did a full strip down of all 8 calipers (both cars) with new seals and rubber boots (including some new pistons) in the last couple of years .
I was new to doing it and found it easy enough .

Cheers W1ghty,

Really just to change discs and pads when the time comes, I cant see it being much more difficult to that of the control arms.

That's really amazing work you have done to both your vehicle's 👍. I know you have your W211, but what is or are your other vehicles, thanks.

You will breeze discs and pads after doing suspension.
I‘ve got a CLK200 as well

Absolutely stunning, love the silver paint with the black roof. Lovely looking car 👍😁.

Cheers I'll give it a go once the time comes. I have read just to be aware of the SBC system. I have to do more research before I attempt the brakes. 👍

Fantastic job! How did you find out the torque specs in the end?

I tried starting a thread asking for the torque specs for all the suspension control arms for a W212, but didn't get any responses.

I come across this thread on MBworld. 👍

Cool - I'll try asking on there about the W212!
