I've nailed it two out of three years and would love to make it three out of four both for professional pride and also for my bank balance. There's at least one chunky contract out there for this calendar year and possibly two and so I want to have a good go at both of them.
But it's binary job which can suddenly get painful when there are no deals to be done. Most of those reasons are completely out of my control. It's like being a striker that's not scoring. I'm not at all sure I could be ****d going through a phase like that again.
I've looked at all the part time angles and can't really see anything viable. I think I'll end up doing some form of volunteering to keep busy. My BIL does stuff for the National Trust down in Dorset two days a week. He started as a woodsman but now rebuilds drystone walls. I'd love to do stuff like that.
