s320 slow wiper mode issue

Hi All,

This is my first thread, and i hope it makes sense to all the techies on this forum.

This is my very first S320 on a 51 plate, and have come across my first issue hoping someone on ths forum has come across this before.

The issue i`m facing is to with the rain sensor wipers, my understanding is this feature will work wen you select the 1st position on the indicator switch and any water on the windcseen the wipers will come on, in my case the wipers are constantly on wether it rains or not on position 1 on the switch.

This moning i was testing the system again and noticed when i opened the front drivers door the wipers stopped, i spilt bit of water on the windscreen and the wipers came on, as soon i closed the front door the wipers came on and stayed on untill i switched them off.

can any one shed any light on this before i take it to the dealers.

Hi All,

I think I have found the issue to the problems I have been facing, noticed that my parktronic switch has not been working, but if I put the car in reverse or drive up to a wall the sensors work as they should.

I removed the fuse to the parktronic system and tested all the electrical systems to understand what is working to my amazement everything started to work fine such as the rain wipers and the express windows. As soon as the fuse went back in the problems resurfaced again.

Could this mean that the parktronic module is at fault?
