s320 trip display

Hi all
have just had a new dashboard fitted to the w220 and all seemed well till this morning when the trip display went all 'the matrix' on me with horizontal lines down the screen (could still see the information behind the lines) parked the car up then came back after sometime and it appeared to be working. Left work seemed to be working then went all matrix on me again, incidentally maybe at the same time the dim knob was not working. Is this just a loose connection? or something more serious?

I'll be following this with interest as I have been suffering the same problem for the last week.

Initially went really bad, then back to normal and now somewhere in between for the last 3 days or so. All readable, looks worst on the satnav option.

Pretty piszed of as a new dash (2 days old), although it wasnt as painful as i thought it was going to be. £1500 for new dash, esm module, brake light switch and labour

Thought the issue had gone , well at least for the last two days, good thing the dealership had time to see the fault. Theyve taken photos and will get back to me after consulting. Hope yours is doing better?

Dealership is doing a new one under warranty, issue still comes and goes randomly (more going than coming).
