Same car, different badge

He can't drive...so probably doesn't notice the difference! I was very sad.

i don't understand the A5 - the coupe I get and I like it a lot - but the 4-door (5-door? is it a hatch?) is surely just an overpriced A4 in which your occupants get cold if you need to open the boot?!?!?

why would you pay extra for the A5 over an equiv model A4 - I cannot see the logic - and yet, they seem to be selling them!

It's like an A4 for the less price concious consumer!!

yep all crap..... serious as a heart attack
I've got an A4, seriously one of the best cars I've ever owned. 110K on the clock now and has never missed a beat. No creaks, no rattles and the CVT gearbox is genious.

Your sweeping statement is ridiculous!

With that mileage belt comes to mind

I really like Audis - my wife has had a couple and they are about the best trimmed cars we have ever had.

I wish I had gone for the A6 2.7tdi S-Line I was looking for instead of this C class.. :-(

Really. I have learnt something. I thought it was 60k :thumb:
The service book actually says something like every 115K miles / 5 years IIRC. However, there was a bulletin that revised this to 75K miles / 5 years. I had mine changed 10K miles ago. So it's good for another 65K miles or 3 years.

Its the same like with other cars. Because someone really like the shape of car and find it fancy to drive or a big pleasure from how it feels inside. The same as why you choosen your current car over diffrent model...

I hear what you are saying - and it's common across group brands - Jaguar / ford - citroen / PSA - the VAG group inc skoda and seat of course.

but not so common to have the SAME car in the same brand lineup with radically different prices.

The A4 starts at £21,735 with the A5 Sportback starting at £24,930

£3200 extra for nothing!

could add leather and some bits n bobns to your A4 for that money!

What about Merc... E-Class (4door, coupe) vs CLS?? And after all A5 had things different to A4 - size of a boot, interior equipment and some others... Im really suppriced you still debate on that... ??

Hmm - yes - hadn't considered the E class vs CLS - cos I think they appear very different and appeal to very different buyers.

whereas the A4 and A5 are, well, practically the same!

I agree to an extent but the E Class and the CLS do look different, and that was the point I am trying to make- have Audi, in their haste to have a car for every occasion, slipped up slightly? I understand all about the differences between the two, yet to me, they honestly look the same car. :dk:

almost completely agree - except - they haven't slipped up! - they are selling them!! at a premium!

It might be their sense of humour- (in a german accent) 'let's make two cars look the same, with different names, with one costing 20% more and see how many we can sell muhaha!'
I'll get my coat.....
