i have just fitted a comand and taken out the cradle for a nokia 6xxx. all the wires led to a black box behind the passenger footplate. do i just plug the new cradle into that?????? what will i need for a phone???? ericsson k750i

Of the established manufacturers (Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, Sharp, and Motorola), Motorola units are the ones that give us the most trouble. Very nice looking, but the reliability stinks!
Bluetooth update
My dealer has been staying in touch with me since my initial post and has been trying to get the bluetooth puck from AWS, and today called me to say that he talked to AWS and the part will not be made available to dealers but will have to be purchased directly from AWS. Further, S-Class is getting preference in distribution. So I'm not able to get it, and if anyone wants it it may be a real hassle. Sorry for the news to all of us who wanted integrated bluetooth. Is there anything like this available in the UK or Europe? This puck was first posted on a Spanish MB site so I wonder who the manufacturer is? Any leads?

I have ordered a Sony Ericsson 750i cradle using the part number suggested
by VBD. The system and my MB dealer recognised the number but it is apparently on back order in both the UK, where I am, and Germany so a wait of at least 2 weeks is expected. If it turns out to the the correct cradle will let you know.
