Ladies and Gents,

Bit of help please. I have a 2005 S class and it has the nav system which only allows you to put the first four characters of the post code in which then means you have to find the street/place you want to navigate you (sometimes its not there).

How do I know which CD/DVD i need to but to update this?

Cheers for your help.

You need this disk here but you will still only get five digit postcode. There isnt a fix for that.

Germany only uses 5 digits in their post codes?

Full post codes cost money from the Post office, who owns them.

Free The Postcode!

TomTom purchased the data base so full postcodes are available on that sat nav system.

As to why these MB update disks with such limitations are so expensive compared to other marques is beyond me.

OEM Navteq discs are half the price.

I bought a satnav for a friend brand new off ebay and it had full postcode search and all of Europe for under £30.

Built in satnavs are nice to have, but a complete rip off.
