SBC Pump Noise

Mine is loud sometimes. I poped into the local main dealer today and asked about it. The service lady printed out a sheet from my registration which detailed all recalls and tsbs that had been performed on my car and none were showing as incomplete, so no need for any SBC fixes for me aparently

They have done a recall on mine as well, but due to it being loud at times they are having to do the work

The Pump has been reviewed and Benz will cover the costs of this item, cant believe its about £1200 to replace!!! Lucky they have covered it ;-)

What sort of noise does it make? My E320 cdi with 175K will be going for a free MB healthcheck tomorrow, I'm looking forward to what they find!...its free, will they also give me a free print out of all the work the car has had done during its life of MB services?

this is standard with the pump it powers up to keep the pads as close to the discs as poss,mb can check the pumps life and reprogramme if required

my SBC pump can be heard fairly loudy and as with others on here I was told not to worry about it so have since thought nothing of it. The thing is, whilst the car is 5 years old, its only covered 29k.
