Scam or no scam?

ok so whats going on as it was looking genuine to me? is that you?

Is that the same address ?

The email you have had Jay , seems to read like it was written from a textbook for grammar ... in a way to impress ... does that make sense ...

Probably trying to differentiate themselves from the usual Nigerian poor spelling , grammar etc ....

Dodgey as hell..I had one of these e mails through auto trader when I sold my wifes Clio...I had some fun with the e mails though and just wound him up !!!.... surely to god knowone takes these seriously..?

Someone is trying to have somebodys leg up here, no question. Ask for a deposit to hold the vehicle, and make it clear it won't be released until cleared funds have hit your account to settle the asking price in full. It's as simple as that.

If the purchaser is genuine it won't be a problem.

Definately not genuine, shipping scam. I had tons of almost identical emails with different names when I sold my last two cars.

This is a scam. I have been through the same thing, they even sent me a cheque for the full amount of the car. I phoned the bank that the cheque came from, and if it was found out to be a stolen cheque within 6 months, the bank would recall the money from me and I would have lost the car to the scammers. It would seem that the chque was stolen by a crooked posty who removed it from a new cheque book that was being delivered to a very expensive adress in Kensington. I phoned the serious fraud office and nobody was interested as nobody had actually lost money yet.

You probably found that the mobile phone number the prospective buyer left, goes to voice mail everytime you phone it.

BEWARE of deals that seem to good to be true, they normaly are
